I highly recommend to you Kevin Walker of Walker Home Improvements. Kevin has now completed two jobs for me: one on my 1935 rental property home in Alma, and the other on my own 1924 home, also in Alma. Not one moment have I regretted hiring him for these two major remodeling jobs. Kevin is very professional and takes pride in his work and his family, whom he is obviously extremely proud of. Never during all the construction and remodeling did I feel uneasy with having Kevin or any of his workers in my home . They are truly gentlemen, while also being very conscious of their work.

He gave me a time table to work with and finished just about right on time. I am writing this letter to heartily endorse Kevin Walker and Walker’s Home Improvements to anyone interested in having some remodeling/construction work done at their home or office.

Over the years that I have known Kevin, he had done many different kinds of jobs for me. He has painted, tiled, trimmed out wood, hung molding, laid granite, totally remodeled our business office, and the granddaddy of them all, a completely gutted and start from scratch, kitchen!

After I got to know Kevin, and he had done several jobs for me, I was interested to find out that he is also an artist. He sculpts beautiful wooden pieces that have been exhibited and sold. I think it is the artist’s touch that kevin brings to his work that raises him to a different level. He has an uncanny ability to just know when something will work and when it won’t, what we used to call a “good eye”. He is very good with colors and textures, and combinations. He is current on home decorating trends, (his faux finishes are beautiful and he has been in the business so long that years of experience come into play for every consideration.

The other nice thing about working with Kevin is that he is able to quote the complete job. If the work involves a skill or license that Kevin does not have, He has a good group of people that he has worked with over the years and that he holds to the same high level of quality that he provides himself. You as the home owner do not have to go and find someone on your own to install the light fixture or the new bathtub. (Just try and find a plumber or an electrician to come over and do a small piece of some work. Ha! And good luck there!)

I genuinely like Kevin Walker, and I have always been totally satisfied with his work, and his sense of integrity and professionalism. I have no reservations about recommending him to anyone looking for his type of service.

We first met Kevin Walker in July 2005 when he came to give us an estimate on painting the interior of our home. After accepting his bid he began the job in a short period of time and continued until everything was finished and approved by us. After finding out that Kevin did all types of home improvements we hired him to completely rebuild and tile our shower, tile the kitchen back splash, tile the fireplace and do all of the quarter round on our new floor. This was quite a big job but Kevin finished all of the work to our satisfaction and we had complete confidence in him. A few weeks later we called Kevin to paint the exterior of our home and we were again completely satisfied with his work.

In all of the time that Kevin did the work for us, he came when he told us the he would be here, he and his crew stayed until the work was finished and we always had contact with him and never in the “dark” as with some contractors.
